HISTORY

1994-cü ildə “Dekorativ bağçılıq” və “Qafqaz və Orta Asiya bitkiləri” laboratoriyaları birləşdirilərək “Ağac bitkilərinin introduksiyası» laboratoriyası yaradılmışdır. 2000-ci ildə laboratoriyasının adı dəyişilərək «Ağac və kol bitkiləri» laboratoriyası adlandırılmışdır. Laboratoriyaya 2000-ci ildən 2007-ci ilədək k/t.e.n., dos. Ü.M.Ağamirov rəhbərlik etmişdir.  Vaxtilə laboratoriyada AMEA-nın müxbir üzvü M.R.Qurbanov, Ü.M.Ağamirov, T.Mehdiyev, Y.Zeynalov, C.D.Mirzəliyev N.Babayev, V.Fərzəliyev, T.Məmmədov, R.Həsənova çalışmışlar.

2021-ci ildə yenidən laboratoriyanın adı dəyişilərək “Ağac və kol bitkilərinin introduksiyası” olmuşdur. Hal-hazırda «Ağac və kol bitkilərinin introduksiyası» laboratoriyasına b.e.d., prof. E.O İsgəndər rəhbərlik edir.  2023-cü ilə laboratoriyanın adı dəyişilərək "Oduncaqlı bitkilər" olmuşdur. "Oduncaqlı bitkilər" laboratoriyasına b.ü.f.d., dos. Asif Mehralıyev rəhbərlik edir.

BASIC ACTIVITY DIRECTION

The comparatively study of taxonomical, biological, botanical-geographical, phytosenological, bioecolo-gical and ontogenetical features of trees and shrubs belonging to the Azerbaijan and other countries’ flora  in ex-situ and in-situ condition and also revealing of the factors causes the downsizing of studied rare species, the preparation a number of recommendations  for the protection of this plants’ gene pool and the determination of use prosperity in greenery works.

MAIN SCIENTIFIC ACHIEVEMENTS

The  bioecological  features, introduction,  morphogenesis, reproduction  and  re-introduction of the  plants  belonging to  the  Azerbaijan flora, including rare  and  endangered trees and  shrub  species were  investigated  comparatively in  ex-situ and in-situ  conditions and  beside  these were revealed  the  danger  categories of these plants  by the downsizing  of  their  areals. That’s why  were  given proposals  for  their  conservation. Were  prapered  advices for  the  promising  species in  greenery  planting.
